The LG G4 is now available in the Philippines in genuine leather (black, brown and red), ceramic white and metallic gray and shiny gold. The ceramic and metallic variants retail for ₱31,990.00 while the leather variant is ₱32,990.00.

The design of the G4 is an update of the G3, maintaining elements such as its rear-located volume and camera buttons. Several back cover options are available, including standard plastic covers with a diamond pattern and covers coated in leather, stitched down the middle. Six leather color options are available. The G4 features a 5.5 in (140 mm), 1440p "Quantum IPS" display, which LG stated would provide better contrast, color accuracy and energy efficiency over another display that LG did not explicitly specify. The G4 utilizes a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 with 3 GB of RAM, consisting of four low-power Cortex-A53 cores and two Cortex-A57 cores. The G4 includes a removable 3000 mAH battery and supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 technology with a compatible AC adapter, which is not included.

The rear-facing camera has a 16-megapixel sensor with a f/1.8 aperture lens, infrared active autofocus, three-axis optical image stabilization, and dual-tone flash. A new "RGB color spectrum sensor" is located below the flash, which analyzes ambient lighting to optimize the white balance and flash color to generate more natural-looking images. The front "selfie" camera is 8-megapixel.

The G4 ships with Android 5.1 "Lollipop", although the overall user experience is relatively similar to that of the G3. The camera software was upgraded with raw image support, along with a new manual mode offering the ability to adjust the focus, shutter speed, ISO and white balance. Optionally, a photo can be taken automatically by double-clicking one of the volume buttons even when the screen is off.

How to Use the LG G4 Camera: Everything You Need to Know!

The LG G4 camera launches into auto mode by default which has the usual settings and options to control the flash, switch to the front 8 megapixel lens, change modes (like panorama, or dual photo) a general settings button, as well as buttons to snap a photo, record video, go to gallery and more.

Before we list what all the buttons do, here’s some of the options, settings, and tricks available on the LG G4.

Quick Shot Camera – Double tap the volume down button when the phone is off (even locked) to launch the camera fast, so you can take a photo. It will instantly snap a photo within 0.7 seconds. You can turn this off in settings > shortcut key > uncheck “Quick Shot” to still launch the camera, but not take a photo.
Voice Control – With Voice Control turned on in the settings, you can say “Cheese”, “Capture”, “Smile”, “LG”, “Whiskey” and other words to instantly take a photo hands-free without touching the screen.
Volume Shutter – Use any volume button to take a photo, even while recording video.
Switch to Front Camera – Swipe across the screen anywhere (up/down or side to side) to quickly switch between the front and rear camera.
Burst Photos – Press and hold the shutter button to take burst photos very fast.
Video Modes – Tap the gear-shaped settings button > 16:9 > and under video choose UHD 4K video, 1080p “FHD”, regular 720p HD, or even Slo-mo.
