Wednesday was a long day for the fighters, trainers and promoters associated with the May 2 boxing event pitting pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr against Manny Pacquiao.

Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38 knockouts) of General Santos City, Philippines and Mayweather (47-0, 26 KOs) of Grand Rapids, Michigan met face-to-face in a classy red carpet event attended by over 700 credentialed reporters. The two later shot a commercial for the event together.
Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. will face off at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The fight is expected to shatter PPV buy records and gross millions of dollars with the ticket prices ranging from $3,500 to $250,000 and the PPV is expected to cost US$89.95 for SD and US$99.95 for HD. Boxing experts says this match could be the richest fight in boxing history and could generate $300 million.
