The Department of Education (DepEd) urged every Filipino child to join the Google Philippines’ Doodle 4 Google contest with the theme “What can I do for the Philippines?”
For the first time, a Filipino youth will have the chance to create a doodle for Google Philippines’ homepage with the theme "What can I do for the Philippines?"
The contest is open to all students & learners from ages 5 to 17 years old currently enrolled in a formal school or enlisted in an alternative learning system from both public and private schools under the Department of Education. Last day of doodle submission is on September 19, 2014.
Google Philippines’ Doodle 4 Google winner will receive an educational grant from BPI Foundation, an art kit from National Book Store and an Acer C720 Chromebook. The overall winner's school or community learning center will receive a connectivity grant from PLDT-Smart Foundation.
The competition is open to students and learners aged 5 to 17, residing in the Philippines and currently enrolled in formal school or enlisted in an alternative learning system from both public and private schools. Entries are classified into four groups) a.) 5-8 years old; b.) 9-11 years old; c.) 12-14 years old, and d.) 15-17 years old. Public voting for the finalists’ doodles is fromOctober 6 to 26, 2016. Announcement of winners will be on November 8, 2014. The overall winning doodle will be featured on Google Philippines’ homepages for 24 hours in November.
