A Filipino Taxi driver in Las Vegas named Gerardo Gamboa discovered in his backseat whooping $300,000 (Php12,600,000) on Monday, December 25. You deserve the cheque, Filipinos are very proud of you.
Gerardo thought someone left a bag of chocolates in the back seat of his vehicle, but the stash turned out to be $300,000 in cold hard cash, USA Today said in a news report.
Gerardo Gamboa received a $1,000 cheque from his employer for his honesty after the money was left behind by a passenger he picked up from a casino.
“I don’t care from $10 to higher. My dignity is not for sale, and that’s the way I am. That’s the way our parents taught us when I was a kid,” Gamboa said.
“I did the right thing, that’s it. They call us sin city. But it’s not. It’s angel city.”
